Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh on January 25 offered incense to the late President Ho Chi Minh in the Presidential Palace.

Meeting with officials and staff of the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, Mr Manh praised their efforts to collect and preserve the late President’s memorabilia for domestic and foreign visitors to view and treasure.

He asked them to gather more things and documents to help visitors better understand President Ho and his revolutionary life in order to contribute to the Party-launched campaign of studying and following his moral example.

Last year, the memorial complex welcomed more than 2 million visitors, of whom one third were foreigners. More than 500 delegations from State agencies, institutes and schools across the country visited the area to explore the late President’s life and cause.

The same day, Mr Manh paid Tet visits to the police department for legal assistance and protection under the Ministry of Public Security, and officials and people in Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district.
