VietNamNet Bridge – At the ninth conference of the Party Central Committee, which closed on Tuesday in Hanoi, To Huy Rua, Chief of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Education, was elected to the Politburo.

Ngo Van Du, a member of the Central Communist Party Committee, Chief of the Central Communist Party Committee Office and Ha Thi Khiet, also a member of the Central Communist Party Committee and Chief of the Central Committee for People Campaigning, were elected to the Secretariat of the Central Communist Party Committee.

Pham Binh Minh, an alternate member of the Central Communist Party Committee, a permanent Deputy Foreign Ministry, became the official member of the Central Communist Party Committee.

New members who were elected to the Central Communist Party Inspection Committee are: Mai The Duong, a member of the Central Communist Party Committee, Party Secretary of the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan; Tran Cam Tu, an alternate member of the Central Communist Party Committee, member of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Inspection Committee; and Mai Truc, permanent Vice Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council.

The ninth conference of the Communist Party Central Committee ran from January 5-13 to review the implementation of the Resolution of the tenth National Party Congress in 2006-2008; ten years implementing the Resolution 3 of the eighth National Party Congress on personnel strategy in the age of industrialization and modernization; two years implementing the Resolution 3 of the tenth National Party Congress on strengthening the Party’s leadership to corruption and waste prevention and to decide other important issues.
