Vietnam, Thailand strengthen defence relations

| LookAtVietnam – Vietnamese Defence Minister Gen. Phung Quang Thanh and his Thai counterpart Prawit Wongsuwan held talks in Bangkok on Feb. 23 to discuss measures to lift the two countries’ defence ties to a new height.
They pledged to join hands to build up Vietnam-Thailand neighbourly ties and partnership and bring the two countries’ relations in defence to the same level with bilateral relations in other areas. The same day, Minister Thanh and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Thai Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban. Thanh and his delegation are scheduled to attend the 3rd ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting in Pattaya from Feb. 25-27. VietNamNet/VNA |
