Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

A senior Government official will meet the foreign investment businesses (FIB) in Vietnam to examine the implementation of an administrative reform project from 2007-2010 on March 20.

At the meeting, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister, Chairman of the Government Office and also Head of the Advisory Council for Reform of Administrative Procedure, will hold dialogue with a delegation of representatives from research institutes, the Vietnamese Business Association, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi (Amcham), the European Chamber of Commerce (Eurocham), the Korea Business Centre (KOTRA) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Vietnam.

On February 25, Minister Phuc had discussions with Eurocham members about Vietnamese administrative reform. The minister confirmed the government’s determination to simplify administrative procedures, which cause red tape and thwart the development of new businesses. Present on the occasion were the ambassadors of a number of countries and nearly 100 guests from 50 enterprises, international organisations and press agencies.
