PM approves health program for national education system

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday approved a program to improve healthcare in schools and colleges nationwide. | |||||||
| By 2015, the program aims to have health workers in all education and training departments; health sections in 85 percent of universities, colleges and vocational schools; and health offices in 60 percent of primary, secondary and high schools and other training agencies. The program also envisages that by 2015, all students will undergo initial medical checkups and have health records and regular checkups; and 80 percent of health sections and offices in education agencies have essential medicines and healthcare equipment as required by the Ministry of Public Health.
