Receiving Malaysia’s King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah in Hanoi on March 12, the Party leader expressed his pleasure at the growing development of bilateral ties in the recent time.

The Party chief appreciated Malaysia’s support for Vietnam’s accession to World Trade Organisation and non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council during 2008-2009.

He also expressed his wish that Vietnam and Malaysia would accelerate the implementation of the joint declaration on the framework of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the 21st century in order to lift bilateral ties to a new height, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world at large.

King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin congratulated Vietnam on its achievements during the renewal process and regional and international integration.

He said he believed that Vietnam would continue to reap greater achievements in its industrialisation, modernisation and development.

Taking advantage of great potentials of each country, the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Southeast Asian nations will further develop, he said.
