Truong Tan Sang (photo), Party Politburo member and a member of the Secretariat, has emphasised the importance of inspections and supervisory work in Party organisations.

Addressing a conference on the inspections of centrally-run agencies’Party committees on April 24, Sang said the inspection work helps Party organisations to find their shortcomings in management, and give timely and accurate disciplinary measures to groups and members who violate the Party’s principals, thus contributing to building pure and strong Party organisations, fighting against corruption and strengthening relations between the Party and people.

Within the two years of 2007 and 2008, the agencies’ Party committees conducted 381 inspections of 414 Party organisations and 1,945 Party members.

The committees also inspected Party building work and anti-corruption measures in 18 Party sub-committees and six others abroad, and Party member admittance in 24 other sub-committees.

The committees checked 60 sub-committees that had signs of Party regulations violations to find out that six sub-committees and 36 Party members were breaking the law and punished 30 Party members among them.
