US Senator John McCain paid a visit to places and relics which form the “association” between him and Vietnam.

McCain went to the Hoa Lo Prison relic, Hanoi, in the morning on April 8. During the Vietnam War he was confined there after his aircraft landed in Truc Bach Lake after being shot down over Hanoi in 1967.

He previously paid a visit to this lake in the afternoon on April 7, after talking with students of the Institute for National Relations and meeting with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong.

The US senator has returned to Vietnam many times in the past 15 years but the story of US veteran John McCain and his “association” with Hanoi is still interesting.
