According to the Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Le Dung, Lee Kuan Yew will discuss with Vietnamese leaders about the world and the regional situation, especially the current financial and economic crisis and measures to cope with it.

The former PM of Singapore and Vietnamese leaders will also exchange measures to boost bilateral relations between Vietnam and Singapore, particularly economic, trade, investment, cultural and educational cooperation.

Besides Hanoi, Lee Kuan Yew will visit HCM City and the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Zone in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Lee Kuan Yew has been to Vietnam many times but his return is always expected. He is a famous politician who turned small Singapore into one of the most modern country in Asia, which has per capita income as equal as developed western countries.
