The 19th session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened this morning, April 14, in Hanoi.

Today, NA deputies will consider the plan to allocate excessive budget of the state budget revenue 2008.

On April 16, NA deputies will discuss the amended Law on capital construction investment.

The Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc will present the amended law while the Chairman of the NA Budget and Economic Committee will present the evaluation report before NA deputies discuss the bill.

The amended article 126 of the Housing Law and the amended article 121 of the Land Law will be also considered.

Also at the session, the NA Standing Committee will listen to two significant specialized reports on the implementation of the laws and policies on cooking hygiene and safety and the removal and resettlement of residents to serve the construction of the Son La Hydropower Plant.

During this session, which will close on April 21, deputies will examine other important bills, namely the amended Law on Cultural Heritage, Law on Management of Public Debts, Law on Urban Planning, Law on Health Examination and Treatment, and the amended Penal Code.
