Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem said Viet Nam opened the consulate general with an expectation of further developing co-operative relations between the two countries and boosting ties on economy, trade, investment, culture and education between Viet Nam and Fukuoka and other localities in southern Japan.

Khiem said he expected Japanese ministries and sectors and Fukuoka Prefecture to create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese Consulate General to complete its task, contributing to strengthening the strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia, which was established between the two countries during the Party General Secretary’s visit.
