PM Nguyen Tan Dung meets Guangdong leaders

LookAtVietnam – The Vietnamese government and people will try their best to bring the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnamese agencies and localities and China ’s Guangdong province to a new level of development.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the affirmation while meeting with the Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Wang Yang, and the province’s Governor, Huang Huahua, during his visit to Guangdong province from April 18-19 after attending the Bo’ao Forum for Asia in Hainan province.

The Vietnamese government leader praised Guangdong ’s achievements during its renewal process, especially maintaining a relatively high economic growth despite the on-going global financial crisis.

He rejoiced at the signing of cooperative agreements between Guangdong province and Vietnam ’s Ministries of Industry and Trade, and Planning and Investment.

Dung said he advocates strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Guangdong and Ho Chi Minh City , considering it one of the practical measures to further the relationship between Vietnamese and Chinese agencies and localities.

The Guangdong leaders welcomed PM Dung’s visit, saying that this was an important event in the Guangdong-Vietnam relation.

They stressed that Guangdong , as well as other Chinese localities, attaches importance to developing the comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Vietnam .

They said they believed that the visit will create a new momentum for ties between Vietnamese localities and Guangdong , thus contributing to the development of the Vietnam-China relationship.

PM Dung and the Guangdong leaders discussed several measures to boost the mutually beneficial cooperation between Vietnamese agencies and localities and Guangdong in all aspects, especially economics and trade.

On the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visited the Midea Electric Appliance Co. Ltd, the University and Hi-tech Cities and received Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the China Bank of Communications Hu Huaibang.
