Vietnam was determined to work with Japan to prevent corruption in ODA-funded projects, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said during talks with the vice president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency Friday.

Dung expressed his hope that Japan would continue to provide official development assistance (ODA) to help Vietnam develop infrastructure and a safe traffic and transportation system.

Arai, who was visiting Hanoi, said he was impressed by Vietnam’s implementation of anti corruption measures and traffic safety solutions.

Arai said his agency (JICA) was more than willing to help Vietnam carry out projects funded by Japanese ODA under agreements signed by leaders of the two countries.
