Vietnamese Ambassador to the Ukraine Nguyen Van Thanh has received the third-class Georghi Medal of the Golden Fortune International Academy of Rating Technologies and Sociology.

Ambassador Nguyen Van Thanh received the medal from Academician Paton.

The medal is recognition of the Vietnamese diplomat’s contributions to promoting sci-tech cooperation between the Ukraine Scientific Academy and Vietnamese sci-tech agencies.

The president and prime minister of the Ukraine sent letters of congratulation to Mr. Thanh.

The “Golden Fortune” Award was launched in 1993 by the Ukraine Scientific Academy and the Ukraine government. The presidium of the award gathers leaders of scientific academies of 29 countries, chaired by Academician Paton B.E, the Chairman of the Ukraine Scientific Academy.

The winners of this award are famous scientists, cultural activists and economists from over 50 countries who have made outstanding contributions to these fields and to the development of the Ukraine.
