After nearly two years of implementing the Law on Gender Equality, satisfactory progress has been made toward national targets on this issue, they said.

Members of the NA Committee for Social Affairs focused their discussions on how to enhance gender equality at the plenary session.

Most members of the NA Committee for Social Affairs agreed that positive changes have been seen in public awareness of the issue and as a result, Vietnam has been spotlighted by the international community for its effective implementation of the law and for achievements in poverty alleviation.
