Chile hopes to sign FTA with Vietnam soon

| Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said Friday she hoped Vietnam and Chile will soon sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as the two countries have come into concurrence on many important issues during FTA negotiations. |
| Meeting Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan in Santiago, the Chilean President expressed her pleasure at the development of the two countriesâ relations in all aspects. She also showed interest in studying the Vietnamese governmentâs response to the on-going global economic crisis. Doan, who is attending the 19th Global Summit of Women in Chileâs capital, confirmed Vietnamâs determination to enhance relations and multifaceted cooperation with the Latin American country.
