The French VAR naval ship arrived in Tien Sa Port in Da Nang City Wednesday

The French VAR naval ship, led by Vice Admiral Gerard Valin, commander of the French Joint Forces in the Indian Ocean, anchored at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang City Wednesday, beginning a six-day visit to Vietnam.

During their stay, the commander and other officers plan to pay courtesy visits to leaders of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee and the Commands of Military Zone 5 and Navy Zone C.

The French crewmen will play friendly volleyball and football games with their counterparts from the Command of Navy Zone C and the Da Nang Football Club. They will also take a tour of Da Nang, and Hoi An and Hue city towns.

The visit aims to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and their armies.
