President Nguyen Minh Triet received a delegation from the Venezuela-Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity Association (VVFSA) led by its President Octavio Isabel Beaumount Rodriguez in Ho Chi Minh City on May 3.

While expressing his delight at the current relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela, the State leader emphasised the importance of strengthening the bilateral ties in trade, investment, culture and education, and science and technology.

Economic development cooperation not only helps the two countries overcome current difficulties but also serves efforts to achieve their goal for a strong and prosperous socialist society with advanced technology, high labour productivity and better living standards, he said.

For his part, the VVFSA President affirmed that solidarity is the core to building a just world that both Vietnam and Venezuela are pursuing.

“It is necessary to educate the two countries’ young generations so that they strive further for a peaceful, stable and prosperous world,” he said.
