Government unveils urban upgrade $9.7 billion plan

| Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a VND175 trillion (US$9.7 billion) project to improve living standards in urban areas.
It will provide all urban residents access to clean water by 2020 and improve sanitation and public lighting in cities and towns. It will also improve infrastructure in slums. The program will be implemented starting with fourth grade cities around the nation this year. VietNamNet/SGGP |
