VietNamNet Bridge – Among cabinet members who will participate in the question and answer session from June 11-13, the three ministers of finance, health and culture will not be present as expected. Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan and the Minister of Agriculture will replace them.

The seven cabinet members who will be questioned by National Assembly (NA) deputies are: Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment Pham Khoi Nguyen, Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung will be the last cabinet member to be queried in the morning on June 13.

Previously, at the government’s suggestion, the Minister of Education and Training and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development were not put on the list for the Q&A session. As they have been put back on, Ministers of Finance Vu Van Ninh, Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh will no longer be required for the session.

The NA office’s chairman Tran Dinh Dan said that by June 10, NA deputies had sent 233 questions to the government, including 24 for the government, 26 for the Minister of Education and Training and the Minister of Industry and Trade each, and 22 for the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Minister of Health each.

In the morning on June 11, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan will have to answer questions about textbooks, the combination of the high-school final exam and the university entrance exam, the allocation of the budget for education among others.

The Ministry of Education and Training’s scheme on financial reforms in education, including the increase of school fees, is a big concern of NA deputies.

The Q&A session will be aired live on Vietnam Television (VTV).
