The third meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) this year will be held in the central city of Da Nang from August 24-27, the municipal People’s Committee said Sunday.

The meeting is in preparation for the APEC Summit to be held in Singapore at the end of the year, local newswire VietNamNet quoted Hoang Van Dung, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry at a press briefing held in Hanoi on July 31.

During the meeting, the municipal government will also introduce investment opportunities in the city, including projects to build a high-tech industrial park and information technology industrial park and developing auxiliary industry, tourism and trade, the committee said.
