A session of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Debates on proposed new laws will top the agenda as the National Assembly Standing Committee meets in Hanoi for a 10-day session starting September 9.

It will discuss Bills on Housing and Land Tax, Natural Resource Tax, Food Safety, Energy Efficiency, Enforcement of Criminal Verdicts, Disabled People, Raising Adopted Children, Accession to Information, and the Sea.

Members will give opinions on proposed amendments to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam, Law on Credit Institutions, and Law on Cipher.

They will also consider recruitment of personnel for State audit agencies through next year, examine this year’s reports by the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, and some other agencies.

In addition, the committee will consider issues to be discussed at the NA session scheduled to open in mid-October, top among them being those related to anti-corruption measures.
