Around 80 delegates have participated in the 6th dialogue between the Vietnamese government and international donors about combating corruption in Hanoi on November 26.

Held by the Swedish Embassy and the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate, the dialogue focused on fighting corruption in the health sector.

Speaking at a press conference on November 25, the Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Rolf Bergman said that corruption in healthcare is becoming rampant, from both medicine and medical equipment auctions to healthcare service supply. Corruption in the health sector impacts on the people at their most vulnerable time.

At the dialogue, Vietnam outlined work in clamping down on key corruption cases as well as reviewing corruption in the health sector and solutions, mechanism and gaps in policies that enable the corruption.
