Some 105 National Assembly (NA) deputies sent 236 questions to cabinet members, the NA Office’s Chairman Tran Dinh Dan said on November 7.

The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers received 37 questions, focusing on the effects of the first stimulus package, solutions to restructure the economy, management over capital of state-owned groups and corporations, controlling the forex exchange, developing the higher education system and the construction plan of hydro-power plants.

At this NA session, the ministers received numerous questions: Minister of Industry and Trade - 26, Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs - 21, Minister of Transportation- 20, Minister of Education and Training – 20, and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development – 18.

Additionally, the Minister of Planning and Investment, the Finance Minister and the State Bank of Vietnam all received 11-12 questions each.

The question and answer session is scheduled for November 17-19. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will be queried on the morning of November 19.
