LookAtVietnam – Over 200 lawyers from Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea and the US will attend the 22nd conference of the Asia-Pacific Law Association in HCM City next week.

Hosted by the HCM City Bar Association, the conference will discuss various issues, including the laws on sea and islands.

According to the HCM City Bar Association vice chairman Nguyen Van Trung, around 100 Vietnamese lawyers will take part in this event

Featuring the topic “Competition and Cooperation in the Region”, delegates will discuss many integration issues. These include laws on sea and islands, solving commercial conflicts through arbitrators, franchising, personal information protection, legal systems protecting private life in the region, e-commerce and business crime.

Lawasia is an international organisation gathering bar associations and lawyers of countries in Asia and the Pacific. It was set up in 1966 and has over 1500 members from 50 countries.
