Germany will advertise its values in the German Year in Vietnam.

The German Year in Vietnam will be held to celebrate the 35^th anniversary of the two nations’ diplomatic relationship.

The German Year in Vietnam will focus on four areas: environment, urban development, arts and economics.

The environment and urban development topics will invovle workshops, fairs, exhibitions about urban planning, transport, architecture, environmental protection and climate change.

The art topic will introduce Germany’s photography, movies, dancing and fashion via concerts, photo and film festivals, dances, opera, and book and fashion shows.

Besides art activities there will be workshops and seminars on water and forestry economics, immigrantration, cultural preservation, and Germany-Vietnam diplomatic ties.

The German Year is also a chance for discussing economic cooperation between Vietnam and Germany at a high-ranking international seminar in early 2010.
