Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will lead a Vietnamese delegation to the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) 2010 in Davos, Switzerland from November 25-31.

The 40th WEF is one of the biggest events in the world this year, which takes place at a time when the world economy is recovering. Around 200 world leaders and chief executive officers (CEOs) of the world leading economic groups will participate in the forum.

The Vietnamese PM will attend seven major events, including four plenary sessions and three events designed for Vietnam only.

PM Dung, as the chairman of ASEAN 2010, will speak at the discussion session entitled “Rebuilding long-term economic growth”.

He will also attend the discussion about the global administration situation, the plenary session about cooking security and a special session about the East Asia community.

The Vietnamese PM will also have the chance to speak with leading CEOs in the world to advertise Vietnam’s potential.

Besides his activities in Davos, the PM will pay a visit to the UN headquarters in Geneva and work with UN organizations which have close relations with Vietnam. He will also meet with officials of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
