More than 200 photos, including many on display for the first time, are included in an exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hanoi, showing the cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and China.

Deputy PM Nguyen Sinh Hung and the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam cut the red ribbon opening the exhibition on January 14.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Vietnam News Agency and Xinhua in cooperation with the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.

This is the opening event for a number of activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relationships in 2010 (January 18 1950).

More than 200 photos have selected from thousands of documentary photos. Many have never been displayed before. They show the bilateral relations between the two countries and achievements in renovation and economic development of each country in the last 60 years.

On January 11, a photo exhibition to celebrate the 60th year of cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and China also opened in Beijing, China.

The exhibition will close on January 20.
