VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese and Chinese tourism officials met in Beijing on April 7 negotiated their plans to cooperate in developing tourism in the Ban Gioc-Duc Thien border area.

The Vietnamese delegation led by Pham Quang Hung, chief of the International Relations Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The two sides agreed to set up a cooperation mechanism to develop this area and work out a comprehensive tourism development scheme for this site.

From 2010 to 2012, the two sides will exchange information, visits and cooperate to advertise and promote tourism in this area as well as join hands in human resource training.

They agreed to develop tourism in Ban Gioc-Duc Thien in a sustainable mode to protect the landscape and the environment.

Ban Gioc waterfall is on Quan Son river, which is shared by Vietnam and China.
