According to Dan, the Politburo has chosen a nominee for this post. Under current rules, the NA will vote to appoint or dismiss Ministers based on the government’s proposals.

Since early April, Nhan has handed over the job at the Ministry of Education and Training to Deputy Minister Pham Vu Luan to concentrate on the job of Deputy Prime Minister.

According to VietNamNet sources, there will be some changes in the NA’s Committee for Economics.

Specifically, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh will be appointed Chairman of the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang. Hoang Anh’s position at the NA’s Committee for Economics will be assumed by the committee’s permanent member, Mai Xuan Hung.

At the same time, a permanent member of this committee, Nguyen Duc Kien, will be appointed Vice Chairman of the southern province of Soc Trang.
