According to an announcement released on October 15 by the Central Party Inspection Committee, three top officials of Ninh Binh province made mistakes and they were fined.

According to the committee, Ninh Binh Province Party Committee and the committee’s three permanent members broke the regulations on democratic concentration and the Party’s leadership; intervening the business of the local People’s Committee; issuing some documents which go contrary to the Party and the State’s regulations, etc.

The violations, according to the committee, have caused “serious consequences, great losses in terms of assets and land” and caused public discontent.

The three officials who were disciplined include: Party Secretary Dinh Van Hung, Vice Party Secretary Ta Nhat Thoi and Vice Party Secretary cum Ninh Binh Chair Bui Van Thang.

Hung had to serve a warning and was forced to retire while Thoi and Thang had to serve a warning.

The Central Party Inspection Committee told Ninh Binh authorities to punish related organizations and individuals and timely repair the shortcomings.

The committee also gave a warning to other officials, including: Lieutenant General Le Quoc Su, former Party Secretary and former chief of the General Department of Logistics (Ministry of Public Security), Lieutenant General Tran Quang Minh, former Vice Party Secretary and former vice chief of the General Department of Logistics; Major General Nguyen Chi Dung, former Director of HCM City Police Agency (currently vice chief of the General Department of Security 2); and Colonel Nguyen Chien Luy, former Deputy Director of HCM City Police Agency for their violations in financial and asset management.
