VietNamNet Bridge – The National Assembly Standing Committee on November 11 sent a dispatch as feedback for deputy  to establish a provisional committee to investigate the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group’s failure.

Deputy Nguyen Minh Thuyet.

After carefully considering the proposal, the NA Standing Committee said that it is unnecessary to set up such a committee, though deputy Thuyet’s proposal is legal.

The dispatch says that the Vinashin case is being investigated by relevant agencies of the Party and the State already.

“The NA Standing Committee has seriously considered my proposal and answered me after nine days, much faster than the deadline of 30 days,” Thuyet told VietNamNet.

Deputy Thuyet raised his proposal at the NA meeting on November 1. He then sent the request to the NA Standing Committee on November 2.

Thuyet also sent his questions to the Prime Minister about the PM’s role in the failure of Vinashin. The PM will answer the questions at the NA Q&A session on November 22.

On November 11, Chief Government Inspector Tran Van Truyen said his agency had just completed the overall investigation at Vinashin.
