Government Office urged to keep up the good work

The Government Office
should continue to enhance the efficiency of their operations to better support
the Government’s activities and the leadership of the Prime Minister and Deputy
Prime Ministers.

This is the most
important task that the Government Office should work hard to fulfil in 2011
because the efficiency of the Government’s management is dependent on the
implementation of tasks.

Prime Minister Nguyen
Tan Dung made these remarks at the agency’s year-end meeting in Ha Noi last
Friday.

According to the PM,
the Government Office needs to help the Government evaluate and address
pertinent issues. They must also point out shortcomings, so effective amendments
can be made to the Government Organisation Law.

The Prime Minister
also asked the Government Office to respond more quickly, precisely and
effectively to the proposals made by ministry-level agencies,
government-affiliated agencies and local authorities.

“In order to
accomplish the mission, the Government Office should focus on developing
competent staff that are able to handle the assigned jobs,” said the PM.

Dung said, during the
past year, the Government Office, which aides the Government, Prime Minister and
Deputy Prime Ministers, accomplished several goals and achieved several feats.

“The quality of
general consultation has improved and the arrangement of the Government’s and
the Prime Minister’s work schedules and plans has also improved,” he said.
