Deputy Minister of National Defense Do Ba Ty was appointed as the new chief of the commanding and managing organization of Vietnam People’s Army on Friday, VnExpress reported.  Ty takes charge of managing the General Staff after his predecessor Nguyen Khac Nghien passed away on November 13.  Born in 1954 in the northern province of Ha Tay (now part of Hanoi), Ty was appointed deputy minister of national defense this October.  Source: Thanh Nien |
