Editor-in-chief Nguyen Anh Tuan was appointed Vice Chair of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association
(VDTA) which was set up in Hanoi
on March 2.

Minister of Information and Telecommunications Le Doan Hop
was elected as Chairman of the association.

The association also elected its executive board with 25
members.

The association was founded by voluntary individuals and
organizations in the digital telecommunications field to promote research and
application of electronic data for the country’s industrialization and
modernization.

Addressing the event, Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Minister of
Information and Telecommunications underlined that the establishment of the
association contributed to achieving the development goals of the information
technology and communications sector in Vietnam.

The association’s leaders committed to quickly stabilize the
organization and to have a detailed action plan.
