VietNamNet Bridge –In response to questions about the two-day live-fire naval exercise off Hon Ong Islet which wrapped up yesterday, foreign ministry spokeswoman Nguyen Phuong Nga said the Viet Nam People’s Navy did not conduct drills in the East Sea at this time of year.

“The exercise correspondents asked about was part of the Navy’s routine annual training off the coast of Quang Nam Province. This training was programmed and planned in advance.”
