A seminar on introducing a new product for tourists “Ha Long Wonder” and mobilizing votes for the destination has been organized by The Scientific Union for Sustainable Tourism Development (STDe) and the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism

“Ha Long Wonder” is an exciting idea that will combine seven islands of Ha Long Bay into the image of a legendary dragon. With this specific tourist product, tourists will travel and discover Ha Long through services such as touring Ha Long Bay by dragon ships, flying on dragon-shaped balloons or swimming by dragon-shaped diving-suits. In additional, souvenirs and gastronomy will focus on dragon decoration.

At the workshop, scientists affirmed that when Ha Long Bay becomes the world’s new natural wonder, it will attract more and more tours to Vietnam and stimulate the building of sustainable tourist products.

STDe called on voting for Ha Long Bay to become one of seven new natural wonders of the world via mobile phone and internet at the seminar and this campaign received response from students and delegates. The union also presented awards for a student group from the University of Construction for their excellent idea on the building of the new tourist product for Ha Long Wonder.
