VietNamNet Bridge – The T-shirt design competition in response to the Earth Hour 2011 campaign closed on April 2. The first prize was presented to Cao Tung Lam with “carp” design.

The competition attracted the participation of
students from eight universities and nine high schools in Hanoi.

Tung Lam used the image of “carp”, a character in traditional Hang Trong paintings.

The carp holds an oxygen cylinder pipe on its mouth to survive in a seriously polluted environment.

Around the carp fishes without oxygen pipes are all dead.

Nguyen Phuong Hoa won the second prize for “Water Globe”, with the message:

when the globe gets warm, ice will melt resulting in the increase of the sea rise level.

The land will disappear. At that time, the globe will have to re-paint itself.

Don’t let the Monkey King be helpless from the consequences caused

by humans is the message of Pham Anh Dung.

Two bears performing a ballet dance on a melting iceberg conveys the

message of global warming by Dinh Thi Thuy.

to the changing atmosphere” by Nguyen Phuong Linh.

“Let’s save the Hoan Kiem turtle” by Pham Thi Thu Hang.

“Take actions to save the earth” by Nguyen Viet Anh.

“Turning off switch – a small act but very meaningful” by Nguyen The Trung.

“The natural resources are being exhausted and are on the

bank of perdition” by Nguyen Van Ha.

“For a green globe, let’s use bulbs in the greenest mode” by Tran Van Hoa.

The “Turning off the light to turn on ideas” was organized by the WWF Vietnam,

the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to raise the awareness of the youth

on climate change and to raise funds for the Earth Hour in Vietnam.
