The 8th National Congress of Vietnamese Students’ Association kicks off February 15 in Ha Noi.

The 8th National Congress of Vietnamese Students’ Association kicks off February 15 in Ha Noi.

A day before, a preparatory meeting of the Association was held to review and pass the program and statute for the Congress.

The Congress was attended by 650 delegates who represent more than 1.5 million students at universities and colleges nationwide and overseas.

The Congress reviewed performances for 2003-2008 term and praised organizations and individuals that had outstanding achievements.

It also set forth goals and action plans for the 2009-2013 term.

Amendments to the Charter of the Vietnam Students’ Association were made and the new Central Executive Board elected.

On February 14, an exhibition, ‘Vietnamese students study, are creative, and integrate and develop,’ was opened at the Friendship Cultural Palace in Ha Noi.

The event presents images of Vietnamese students in many historical periods and 100 outstanding photos for the competition ‘Volunteers’ Hallmark’.
