LookAtVietnam – Enterprises in HCMC will join with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to lend a helping hand to improving the working and living skills of Vietnamese university graduates and young employees from 20-30 years of age.

Students join an interactive activity organized by Huynh Van Son, a professional psychologist, at the conference.

Eight speakers and over 1,000 students in the city participated in the first conference of this kind held at HCMC’s Youth Culture House to introduce a project that aims to bridge the gap between working skills offered by schools and educational institutions with living skills and other related skills required by businesses and employers in the real life.

The project will offer special training courses on leadership, teamwork, public speaking, time management, life and profession orientation, effective communication, negotiation and persuasion, logical and critical thinking, conflict solving and decision making.

The first phase of project lasting from now to 2014 is targeting about 1,000 students with 40-50 courses on 20 themes per quarter, according to Ly Truong Chien, the head of Tri Tri Corp. There will also be scholarships for outstanding students and ten annual awards providing initial investments for the best performers to start up their own businesses.

Chien told the Daily that sponsorship from businesses for a project focused on offering well-trained human resources will benefit both employers and employees in the long run.

Saigon High-Tech Business Incubator, T&H IT and Computer Co. and Youth Publishing House inked deals with the organizers of the project at the conference for comprehensive cooperation for the duration of the project.

Students can register for courses from the end of April. More information about the project, its training courses and scheduled themed conferences will be available on www.tritrilivingskills.net after May 15. They can also register or request more information online by sending email to tritrilivingskills@gmail.com
