Gold-rimmed laptop to be auctioned for VN schools

| ASUS Vietnam will join hands with fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo to hold a charity auction for HCMC’s Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund.
The auction will start online for early bids at www.eeevn.com over April 14 to April 20. The auction will conclude at a special event in Hanoi Opera House on April 21. Previously, ASUS Vietnam and Salvatore Ferragamo successfully hosted an auction for its special limited edition computer, ASUS Luxurious Limited Gold Edition S6Fm, at the Caravelle Hotel in The auction ended with a bid of US$15,000. The donation helped set up a computer lab at Ly Nhon Middle School in Can Gio District, HCMC. Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund, established 2005, offers support in health care, education and contributes to improving public infrastructure in disadvantaged areas in the HCMC. VietNamNet/SGGP
