LookAtVietnam – To celebrate Christmas we look at how generous gifts from a kind teacher sparked letters to Santa Claus.

In return she asked students to reply to Santa Claus describing their Christmas wishes.

Happy with her own lot, Pham Phuong Trang asked Santa Claus to help poor students.

“Santa Claus, it’s Phuong Trang. My parents have given me a very big and very beautiful pine tree. However, I know that many other students do not have money to go out at Christmas. I hope you will arrive in this area where there are poor students and bring them joy,” she wrote.

“Thank you very much for the very beautiful gloves. How did you know that I am good at all subjects? Did you ask teacher Van? I think so. I sent a letter to you before and begged for a gift, but I have got it already. My mother said that you are too busy to purchase gifts, therefore, you have asked her to buy the gift. Don’t forget to bring gifts to poor students as well, please,” wrote Nguyen Thuy Linh.

Linh Chi, also a fourth grade student, wrote: “I wish I will become the most excellent student in the class. But I will not be arrogant”.

“I will help my classmates,” she promised.

But not everyone sent happy letters.

“I feel sad because everyone hates me. I got a scolding from my mother, although I have not made mistakes. Thu Linh, my friend, is so arrogant. Please make her less arrogant, Santa Claus,” wrote Nguyen Thu Ha.

“I hope that you give me a pen and a box of colored pencils next year,” she added.

Pham Hong Anh revealed a secret to the Santa Claus. Her problem is that the class monitor entered her name in the list of naughty students, despite only making a minor mistake. Anh promised in future she will get a lot of 10 scores in all subjects and listen to her parents and teachers.

Phan Thi An Nguyen had a question: “Santa Claus, I have a question. I saw you driving a motorbike. Why don’t you go by reindeer?”

Perhaps, Vietnam’s traffic would be a little too much for Rudolph and his friends.
