The project will cost VND2.3 trillion (US$121.2 million) and establish at least one high school for gifted students at each city/province. The project seeks to place around 2 percent of high school students into accelerated programs by 2020.

Money from the project will improve teaching facilities, teaching staff, education managers and the curricula at all such schools nationwide. The poject further seeks to standardize curriculum at the facilities across the board.

By 2015, the project is expected to revamp 15 high schools for gifted students in Vietnam.
