The 7th storm in the East Sea – Mujigae – has quickly passed China’s Hainan Island and is moving directly to coastal provinces in the northern and central Vietnam.

At noon, September 11, the typhoon went through Hainan Island and moved to the north of Vietnam at a speed up to 25km per hour. The Central Hydrometeorology Centre forecast that the storm would not change its director and strength in the next 12 hours.

Weather experts said that the storm would hit coastal provinces from Thai Binh to Thanh Hoa at the highest wind speed of level 10 and weaken to become a tropical depression, which will move to the west to Laos.

Under the impact of the storm, the Tonkin Gulf has had strong wind at level 10. Wind will get stronger from level 7 to level 10 in coastal provinces from Quang Ninh in the north to Nghe An in the central region.

Provinces from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa need to be aware of high sea level while the north and northern part of the central region will have downpours.
