The gutted remains of two warehouses at a Hanoi industrial zone after a fire broke out Wednesday.

Two 500 square meter warehouses in a Hanoi industrial zone were completely gutted by a fire that broke out Wednesday morning.

Four fire trucks were sent from Thanh Tri District and another four were later summoned from Ha Dong District, and the fire was put out in about an hour.

A guard at the zone said he smelled something burning at around 6 a.m. before seeing smoke coming out from the warehouses.

The fire occurred before working hours and caused no deaths or injuries, police said.

Local police are investigating the cause of the fire and estimating the damage.
