Following the electrocution of two children in one month on HCM City streets, the HCM City Power Company is set to check the whole grid.

On September 27, a fifth grader was also electrocuted at this electric pole.

The check will start on October 7 and utilise 32 inspection groups from HCM City Power Company and 14 groups from other local power branches. They will probe all electric poles, transformer stations and electrical works in the city.

The HCM City Power Company is also about to open a hot line to receive any information about similar incidents in the city. It follows the recent accidents when local people didn’t know where to turn for help.

HCM City is also implementing a campaign to tell local people about how to avoid such accidents and ensure electrical safety.

In late August, a fifth grader was electrocuted at an electric pole at Tran Hung Dao – Nguyen Bieu intersection. On September 27, a fifth grader was also electrocuted at an electric pole in District 6.
