Storm No. 10 or Parma is continuing to change directions making it very unpredictable for experts to track.

Since it passed the northern area of Luzon island in the Philippines and entered the East Sea on October 5, the typhoon has changed its direction at least three times.

In three bulletins released on October 5, the National Centre for Flood and Storm Control announced different directions for Parma, from northwest to southeast and then northeast.

The US Navy had no more luck saying Parma was moving north to northwest and then later they changed it to west to southwest.

The direction of Parma remains unclear with the National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting saying it is still highly possible the storm will return to its south-southwest direction on October 8. At a speed of 5km/hour that would leave it around 800km east of the Paracel islands off the coast of Vietnam.

The centre was cautious in adding that owing to other environmental factors, especially the presence of typhoon Melor, Parma could continue to keep changing direction.
