The two singers, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, will participate in the construction and perform in a charity show on November 19 to raise fund for the poor. At this show, a painting by famous overseas Vietnamese painter Van Duong Thanh will be auctioned.

Annually the former US President spends a week building houses in a charity project named “Houses and Hope”, sponsored by the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter charity organization. The yearly fund raised through this organization is over $100 million.

This year, the former US President, his wife and nearly 3,000 volunteers will build and repair 166 houses in Thailand, China, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

Carter received a Peace Nobel Prize in 2002.

Painter Van Duong Thanh was invited to join the construction in Dong Xa villa. She said the painting for charity auction will be a landscape painting of this village.
