A 4-year-old boy in HCM City suffered only a broken leg after jumping from the fifth floor of his house.

It happened after the boy was told to climb down the stairs to take a key to his mother. Misunderstanding, he thought that he was meant to “jump down” and he did – from 16m on the fifth floor.

A neighbor said she was looking out of the window when the boy was falling. She said he didn’t look scared. Instead he had spread his arms as if he was flying.

“I panicked and despaired when he fell down to the ground. But I was happy to find him coherent after the fall. I’m very happy to know that he only broke his thigh bone,” said the mother, named Oanh.

Luckily there was a pile of sand to break his fall.

This morning, December 3, Tuan appeared completely normal at the Cho Ray hospital. He was playing games on a mobile phone and eating, drinking and talking normally.

However, doctors told the family to carefully manage the boy they’ve dubbed “Batman” in case he plans to fly again.
