Car accident kills two Korean tourists in central Vietnam

Two South Korean tourists died and three people were critically injured when a taxi crashed into a crane in the central province of Khanh Hoa on Monday morning.

Tran Anh Tuan, 23, was driving a taxi carrying four tourists, including three Koreans and a Vietnamese, from the Nha Trang railway station to Nha Trang Bay when the accident occurred, according to local authorities.

Descending Bao Dai Hill, Tuan sped up the Mai Linh Corporation vehicle and hit a large barrier before crashing into a crane about 50 kilometers from the Nha Trang Port gate, according to the witnesses.

Hye Jung Yang, 30, and Young So Kim died on the spot, while Park Yonmin, Nguyen Ngoc Van, and Tu were rushed to Khanh Hoa General Hospital.

Police are investigating the accident.
